A Busy Sunday

Abby's 1st Birthday Party yesterday.  There were 38 people here to celebrate our little girl's birthday (Our house felt very small at that point).  Thank you to everyone who showed up, it meant a lot to us.  Abby had a great time.  I think she truly enjoyed herself.

We (Abby and I) woke up exhausted this morning.  (Jake had already left for work.  He only gets to go to church with us 2X a month.)  We were up and ready to go to church, but Abby was so tired, I decided she could stay home and take a nap.  And boy did she ever, she took a long 4 hour nap.  I watched Extreme Couponing last night and it got me motivated. While she was sleeping I started looking at some of the couponing blogs I am a fan of on Facebook.   My mother-in-law introduced me to couponing.  I tried it once in awhile and was happy with what I saw, but I had never done it like these people on TV.  I don't know if I will ever do it to that extreme, but I am definitely changed for life.

I had to go to Wal-Mart to buy a gallon of milk because Abby is officially off formula.  While I was there I thought I would try some deals I saw online.  The Athenos Greek Yogurt is $1.  I printed 2-$2/2 coupon from $2.00/2 – Athenos Feta, Hummus, Baked Pita Chips or Greek Yogurt – (bricks.coupons.com) making the yogurt free.  The Tuck's Take Along Wipes were $2.78.  I printed 2-$3.00/1 – Tuck’s Take Along Wipe – (bricks.coupons.com) making them free.  (Actually Wal-Mart gave me back $0.58)  The Reach floss is $0.97 and I printed 2-Save $1/Any Reach Floss making them free.

Needless to say I was very excited to walk out of Wal-Mart with more money in my pocket then when I went in.  ~Samantha
